Hello and welcome. My name is Verlon Eason and I am a multi-talented freelance harpist, pianist and vocalist residing in the Orlando, Florida area. I love sharing my musical talents with audiences and helping students learn and grow on their musical journeys. When not playing the harp, I enjoy spending time with my husband and best friend for over 40 years Doug and our family, including my granddaughters, Brooklyn and London, whom I love and adore.

Working as a professional artist for over 45 years, I perform for special events such as Weddings, Receptions, Rehearsal Dinners, Parties, Corporate Events, Fine Dining Restaurants, Funerals, Memorials, Church Services and much more. I have performed at many of the major hotels and venues in the Central Florida including solo concerts, recitals, ensemble concerts and church orchestras. I play regularly in my church orchestra and love to minister spiritually to every heart through my music.

I hold a Bachelor of Music from the University of South Florida and have studied harp from world-class performers, instructors and recording artists. I am also an accomplished pianist and vocalist as well.

For more than 10 years, I served as a Healing Arts Specialist on staff at Orlando Health Hospitals where I played my bedside therapy harp for sick and hospice patients. As a graduate of the nationally recognized Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP) and am a Certified Music Practitioner™ (CMP) and I minister to patients at home, in hospitals, and nursing homes.

My greatest passion is sharing my love of music with audiences and students. I was led to the harp as an adult and love sharing my moving testimony on how it changed my life. As a teacher, I truly love helping my students of all ages become the best they can be and using their God-given talents. To learn more about my powerful healing through learning the harp and how God led me to play and teach others, check out my story at the link below.

In addition to performing and teaching, I also greatly enjoy instructing harp workshops. I have taught special harp workshop at dozens of harp conferences covering a variety of topics. Because of my passion for teaching, I love to share pertinent information that will help you, as a musician, become the best you can be.

I have professionally recorded 3 Harp Music CD’s which have sold around the world. You can find them in my store on this website.

I also greatly enjoy arranging my own music and have quite an extensive repertoire which includes a wide variety of music genres including classical, popular, romantic love songs, jazz, country, contemporary Christian, sacred/religious, Christmas, Easter music and much more.

As past President and Vice President of the Central Florida Chapter of the American Harp Society, I have enjoyed performing in large ensemble concerts as well as my students. A number of my students have been awarded State winner and runner-up in harp solo competitions and some have gone on to study harp in college.
