Verlon Eason

About Verlon Eason

Verlon has performed musically since the young age of 4, singing and playing the piano. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano/Vocal music education from the University of South Florida, having maintained an active teaching studio since 1974. Her advancement on the harp is credited to FSU Harp Professor, Mary Brigid Roman.

Verlon has been on the faculty of Saint Andrews Music Conservatory as a harp and piano instructor since 2005. Her students have made Superior ratings in area adjudications. She delights teaching students of all ages who have a strong desire to learn.

Verlon’s dream of playing the harp began in 1994 following both her mother and father-in-law’s deaths. Realizing the harp’s healing capacity, she began using her God-given gifts to minister to the sick and the dying on her small therapeutic harp. Verlon received her CMP (Certified Music Practitioner) certification in January 2005 through MHTP (Music for Healing and Transition Program).

She is employed as a Healing Artist Specialist with Orlando Health. Verlon is a therapeutic harpist for patients in hospice, ministering also in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement homes and for Alzheimer patients. Her heart to minister to others has been notated in articles circulated throughout the United States.

Verlon has been designing and retailing her uniquely designed harp gifts at harp conferences throughout the US since 1997. These gifts have been quickly sought after at many harp conferences.
